So, Across the Spiderverse has had me in a chokehold since I watched it. Could you imagine a Yuu in the House Mouse au who is not exactly powerless, but her abilities are not magic-based? Welcome to the crossover that nobody asked for, and I'm gonna pretend that secret identities don't exist for a moment and that disrupting canon events from astv don't exist.

Spider!Yuu's spidey senses can tell when danger is afoot. Whenever she's on the clock, there's fewer accidents and just swings by before Goofy trips and tosses all the dishes. She can tell when either Pete or Mortimer are here.The staff can rely on her for cleaning the high ass ceilings because she can climb up walls with no problem. And her webs make the best Halloween decor.

Von Drake and Jumba being so fascinated with Yuu's anatomy and intelligence. Whether has organic webbing or made web shooters of her own, they want so badly to experiment on them (definitely not gonna try to get bit by a radioactive spider too, nope).

Jamil being torn from freaked out to having a crush on a girl with spider powers. Jafar trying to convince him that she's not an actual spider so that his ship could sail

Yuu making a web hammock to calm down the little kids in the club. Next minute she's having a strength competition with Hercules and Gaston because she can lift up to ten tons.

The clubgoers seeing her memories and freaking over the fact that Yuu has been up against so many dangerous foes and life or death situations such as the iconic train scene. It scares them even more than the overblots do.

The Parr family from the Incredible (if they're here in the au), feel so bad because she's doing vigilante work all on her own. Edna mode upgrades Yuu's spider suit to a new level with glee.

Okay okay okay first of all I'm going to vent a bit about ATSV because Pavitr my boy, my sunshine, my everything is literally so important to me like hell yeah give me the south asian/brown kid representation (now if only there was an young asian girl with a bob so I can feel better about that Dora the Explorer look my mum forced me to have throught 90% of primary school whilst all of my friends got to grow their own hair out)

Also not going to lie the only reason I'm into ATSV is because I've been a Mayday Parker stan since 2017 - like she is everything (and her backstory is just so sad like PeterMJ didn't deserve that). My favourite spider-people after Peter are his multiversal daughters because girldad Peter is everything (I actually own physical copies of the Renew Your Vows comics that are about Peter and MJ's daughter, Annie-May Parker, and they are so frickin good) but I digress...

I don't know if I want Yuu to have her own Guy in the Chair back in her universe and for Idia to feel jealous/threatened or for her to have no guy in the chair until she comes to twst and Ortho is like 'my time has come'

Ohh imagine the insane parkour skills she, Ruggie and Aladdin would have.

I know that being insanely smart in science is a Peter Parker thing and doesn't really apply to all Spider-People but I think she would be a science whizz (and joining the science club - making Crewel's already glaringly obvious favouritism skyrocket) and hanging out with all of the scientist characters like Prof Von Drake, Jumba, Yzma etc.

Her and Herc would be training buds. He'd see her and her heroics and superhuman friend and be like 'new best friend :D'. Phil loves the heroic potential she has and wants to train her but Pegasus and Megara are like nope and swoop him away.

Oh but imagine the beastfolk finding out about her enhanced senses and how sometimes they cause sensory overload and helping her out because they grew up like that so they know how to manage it better (I once read a fic that said that Savanaclaw showers have soaps with subtler scents to accommodate their enhanced sense of smell and like yes) whilst she's still getting used to it and has to keep it a secret back in her world.

I'm thinking back to all of the MCU!Peter Parker fics I read and all of the spider DNA tropes that tickled my fancy and I can just imagine the twst/HoM cast reacting to things like her having no thermoregulation (and going into hibernation), her purring, her being allergic/having a poison like reaction to peppermint, her having fangs (her being venomous would be cool as well - like imagine Kaa being all fanboying over her fangs and venom glands) etc..

Okay so I remember having a bunch of ideas about this but I can't recall all of them so here... 😅

Little fluff request. What would your headcanon be of the Savanaclaw (and any other dorm you want) boys’ reaction if they see Yuu/Mc wearing a sheep onesie. Like they visit Ramshackle Dorm on an evening for an urgent matter and given how urgent it sounded Yuu/Mc just jumped out of bed, busts open the door like, “WHERE’S THE FIRE!!?” And just see them in all of their adorableness.

Normally, I don’t like to give myself extra work to do on individual requests, but I figured I’d also write headcanons for Idia and Ortho, since Ignihyde doesn’t get a lot of content on my blog!

Curiouser and Curiouser...

Leona has a small chuckle at your expense. You already look weak and defenseless in your regular wear, but you look even more so in that sheep’s wool. He points that out, and lets you know just how fitting the “herbivore” nickname is now.

That cheer is fleeting, though. After he’s done poking fun at you, Leona demands to know why you’ve dragged him out here from all the way in Savanaclaw. He becomes irritated when you confess that you just needed help removing a particularly large spider from Ramshackle.

Despite his protests, Leona begrudingly does as you request (citing your “whining” as the reason). Once the spider has been returned to the wild, he grumpily makes his way for the door, too.

He reminds you that he dislikes having his slumber disturbed—and if it happens again, he’s not going to come running. “I’m not some housecat at your beck and call,” Leona snorts, jabbing a thumb at Grim. “You have your real housecat for that.”

Ruggie can’t help but burst out howling with laughter! “Nishishishi! Who knew that the kitten would make for such a cute sheep too!” You look all puffed up and fluffy, just like a marshmallow!

He makes a few jokes about how if you’re not careful, some hungry predator’s gonna come along and sink their teeth right into your shoulder! To demonstrate his point, Ruggie pretends to nom you!

He’ll still hang around for a while to help you out with whatever you needed him for. Ruggie might as well, since he came all this way, right? Plus, it might be hard to get any dirty jobs done when you’re bundled up in that soft outfit.

Be prepared to pay up for his services, because this hyena’s time and effort don’t come for free, even for innocent sheep like you!

Jack is just... plain confused. He’s the type of guy that dresses for practicality’s sake, so he sees the onesie as being a little over-the-top. Sure, it looks comfy, but... are the little horns and ears really necessary?

For your sake, he warns you not to head outside wearing that sheep onesie! In the dark, it can be hard to tell people apart from other moving things, and you might just get jumped by a wild animal if you’re not careful!

Being the good boy that he is, Jack sticks around to help you fix your creaky floorboard. There’s only one caveat: you have to join him! Jack insists that you do; he doesn’t mind if you depend on him every now and again (even if he doesn’t voice it), but you need to learn to be self sufficientc too! “Don’t be the boy that cried wolf,” Jack informs you gruffly.

So there you are, kneeling in your sheep suit, and passing along tools to Jack. Your onesie’s getting all dirty (dust and dirt collecting on the white fabric), but Jack tells you it’s all in a day’s work—and pay attention so you can learn how to fix the floorboards on your own!

Idia just freezes in the doorframe in total shock. He can’t believe what he’s seeing... someone else that owns a kigurumi?! Idia hadn’t expected to meet someone like that in “the real world”.

He still won’t be very comfortable with carrying on a full conversation or getting that physically close to you, but he’s emboldened by the fact that you may share similar interests! While Idia uses his gizmos to tend to your “urgent problem” (aka the leaky faucet), you make awkward small talk with him.

Every time you call your kigurumi a “onesie”, Idia rolls his eyes or snorts and mutters under his breath. “Tch. What a normie phrase to use...”

Idia will shyly ask where you got your outfit, or if you have any other variants (... perhaps one of a cute anime animal mascot?). Did you make it yourself? With what materials? His inventive mind is curious to know!

Ortho hits you with the contents of a fire extinguisher as soon as he’s through the door. He was built with efficiency in mind, so his primary concern is putting out immediate dangers before talking!

Imagine his surprise when he doesn’t find a fire...!! He quickly apologizes and proceeds to help dry you off and clean up. During this process, Ortho takes note of your sheep onesie and becomes extremely fascinated by it! “This is unlike any of the gears Nii-san has designed for me!”

He grabs ahold of a piece of fabric and spends several seconds analyzing it and marveling at its fluffiness! It seems that your sheep suit was designed for maximum comfort—and this robot is all for it!

Ortho’s so interested in the onesie that he keeps a mental note of its features stored in his data banks. Later, he asks Idia for a similar look as you! That way, you two can match—and the world could always do with more cuteness!

After spring break, Grim and Alice needed a place to stay while their dorm was being repaired. So, she asked the dorm leaders about allowing them to stay at their dorm for a week each.

Heartslabyul

Alice was given a dorm uniform and drew a star on her cheek, but Riddle told her to choose from one of the four suits. She stated a star suit exists and since she's not a official card soldier she should have something different from the card soldiers to symbolize that, her as the star and Grim as the joker. He was convinced. (Grim got a red bow.)

Slept in the middle of Ace and Deuce's room. She bought an air mattress from Sam.

She liked how neat but crazy the place looked. Walking through the front yard of the dorm during the night was her favorite.

Ace and Deuce had fun joking and teasing Alice and Grim during their stay.

Riddle and her spent time in the dorm's lounge and talked about their interests.

Cater invited her to cafes and took pictures of the desserts she ordered like promised. She asked him what he wanted to take a picture of and decided that way.

She found Trey in the kitchen when she was looking for a snack and started a conversation with each other, leading to her asking for recipes from him to try out when she returns to her dorm.

Grim had in trouble with Riddle a few times.

Savanaclaw

Leona complained about getting her a uniform because he had to make the bean necklace before she arrived. Had to wear the bandana around her neck to cover the low part of the collar. Grim wore a bandana.

Plain bedroom, no real details. Grim hid in the closet and surprised her.

The lounge was her favorite because it felt relaxing. Didn't like the heat, but that quickly changed from the Fairy Gala.

Ruggie pushed her into the pool and Jack yelled at him.

Found Leona napping and just sat next to him to draw. In the middle of sketching, his arms wrapped around her waist and couldn't break free from his grip, (he knew what he was doing).

Trained with Jack during her stay, but did light workout compared to his.

She had to protect Grim from the students when he angered them.

Slept in Leona's bed during the Fairy Gala... with Grim in between them every time.

Octavinelle

Time to get fancy. She felt pretty good in their uniform and tipped her hat to her friends. A little hat and scarf for Grim. (I want the shoes, Alice give me yours.)

Simple and plain bedroom. Floyd tried to break into her room one night but found the door was locked. Still got the chance to flop on top of her and crush her with his body weight.

Trying to survive a week with the Sus Trio. She did like the feel of the dorm and how mysterious it looks at night. She likes the ocean, but the trio don't need to know that.

Did fall asleep on the couch one night and the twins found her. Azul, fortunately, was gracious enough to save her from them.

Cater took pictures of her in the uniform because aesthetic and she later posted them on her Magicam.

Floyd pulled her out of the dorm to go swimming and pulled her along like a rug doll.

Jade and her talked about gemstones, stuff from the sea, and the literal jade she had back home.

Found a tired Azul one night and gave him a mom hug when he asked.

The twins teased and scared Grim a few times during their stay and the cat would cling onto her leg out of fear. (I'm sorry, but I can't protect you from them.)

Scarabia

Alice was stuck in this dorm during winter break and needed clothes, so she already had this dorm's uniform in her closet. Kalim made a new bow for Grim.

There was a small vase of flowers on the desk. Cute.

The vibes were good from Kalim's positive energy to the delicious food. She enjoyed herself. What she didn't like was the heat, but I'm from Florida so I can deal.

She asked Jamil for recipes because her food is bland and not creative, watching and taking notes while he made dinner and explained.

Freaked Jamil out while telling him the story about the bugs in her parents' house like the big spider on her ceiling when she woke up one afternoon, roaches crawling everywhere.

Going to the Camp Vargas with Jamil.

Had a heart to heart conversation with Kalim one late night.

Grim often fell asleep shortly after dinner and had to be carried to their bedroom.

Pomefiore

She was able to keep the uniform as a gift from Rook for helping, Vil just had to get her the dorm shoes and a mini version of the robe for Grim.

The room had an apple pillow on the bed and a vase of flowers on the desk.

The elegant and graceful atmosphere was nice.

Surprised Vil with her keeping the promise she made to him. But it didn't stop him from complaining and lecturing her on different things.

Grim got in trouble with Vil a lot, and she would just glare at Vil when he annoyed her.

Went to the second part of the Camp Vargas.

Epel and her leaned on each other for support through the harsh beauty routines. And acted like gremlins together, it was fun.

Rook took her through the garden and chatted about themselves.

Vil convinced her to let him do her makeup and hair.

Ignihyde

After coming back to the school, Ortho requested she stays in Ignihyde to ensure her health is doing okay and can assist her if needed. The jacket makes sound when you purposely rub the sleeves against it. Another bow for the cat.

The entrance was a bit spooky, but the inside looks cool as hell. The bedroom was, once again, simple and plain.

Was told the students here aren't social and keep to themselves, so she kept her distance and had to continuously tell Grim to leave them be.

Often spent time with Ortha and got called "Big Sis" a few times by him.

Watched some anime and played games with Idia. He did get shy at her hanging out with him in his room and got slightly comfortable around her. Ortho eased some tension.

Grim got mad when he lost a game and pouted against her arm.

Had a heart to heart with Idia one night.

Diasomnia

She thought since she stayed in every dorm, why not stay in the last dorm. Malleus pouted at her for denying him her collarbones in the uniform. A hat and jacket for the boy.

Spooky place. The bedroom had a flower on the pillow.

Got cuddle by Malleus almost every night. I mean, Malleus was around her the most and often sat together and talked.

Teased Sebek for acting cute and laughed when he tried to deny his cuteness.

Grim was spooked by the place and clung onto her leg often.

Silver saw Malleus entering her room at night and told her in the morning he's happy for them and wishes them a good future together. "I'm glad you and my lord finally becoming official." "Me and Malleus aren't dating!"

First of all, thank you so much for the ask! <3 And sorry it toook me a bit to get to this! Of course, I'll gladly talk more about my boy~ I had to think some of these on the spot, tho xD But that helps me develop his character, so it's good~

🍃 FALLING LEAF - do they enjoy being in nature? what is their favourite outdoor activity? Yes, he does really love being in nature! Specially in thick forests where he can just float around all the branches and the leaves~ His hometown is also surrounded by forest so he's used to that since he was a child C: As for outdoor activities, he's not much for sports or excercise, so he enjoys just leisurely walking flying around and enjoying the sun and the grass and all :D He'd more often than not also pick up flowers just because they're pretty, but also he'd pick some branches and other miscellaneous stuff just laying around if he thinks he can use them to build something~

🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears? Breaking a nail. Hear me out, that sounds dumb but it's actually not. He got a really bad broken nail when he was younger and it was super painful and took so long to grow back till it was healed again… it's something he never wants to experience again, so he's VERY careful when handling tools nowdays. Aside from that, he's a bit scared of fire, so he'll be really cautious when handling it. He's also a bit claustrophobic, not too much, but if he gets into a really tiny space he'd be a bit panicky. If it's just a small room or not have much space, he'd just be a bit ansty.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them? Well, I don't know if I ever said this here?? But he is directly inspired by Tinker Bell. Mostly the one from the OG movie, but I did watch the new movies from her franchise too so I get a bit from both places C: As for the first thing, I think it was that 1. he was gonna be pretty and "vain" and 2. he was gonna be a disaster with love hahaha Also, just because I can, not much later I also decided Ace was gonna be his BIG CRUSH, unrequited tho, it never got anywhere hahah (he's got a lot of crushes, but only one that works out in the end 😌)

⚾ BASEBALL - can they play sports? what is their best position if they play a team sport? what’s their strong suit (speed, power etc.)? He is nimble and fast, so he would not be that bad at them if he tried. But he does not like them much, so he mostly stays away from sports. He does watch them sometimes as a social activity, tho. Mostly going to see the Magilift matches the school participates in. He goes there to support Ruggie as well😌

Anansi Khari is the first year dorm leader of Itan-ori. He takes on the MC's role in PSU, he's a crafty, mischievous and greedy person due to growing up with very little. But despite these harsher parts of himself, he was given the role of an unofficial therapist for the students. He was inspired from the spider deity known as Anansi, known to be a god of wisdom, stories, spiders and tricksters.

Appearance:

Anansi is a short boy with dark brown skin and 8 playful scarlet red eyes which peer through his messy mop of dreadlocks. Speaking of which, sitting atop his head and hanging down his face, Anansi wears a pair of messy black dreadlocks which fade to red near its tips.

The spindly boy always seems to wear a cocky, fang bearing grin as if he always has a trick of plot of mischief in his mind at every moment. (Which honestly isn't that far off)

And marked across his cheeks is a piece of white face paint. For as long as anyone's seen him in school he's always worn this paint. Reapplying it without fail day after day.

And finally for clothes, he's usually seen wearing his uniform in a very casual way. Around his neck are two multi-colored beaded necklaces. Beneath this he wears a grey turtle neck with rolled up sleeves, revealing a pair of black armbands with his magic ring on his right hand.

And around his waist is the sash that shows off his dorm. Colored black and orange, it later gives way to a silver web across the flap which rests atop his tied up blazer that's beneath the cloth. And finally on his legs are a pair of black slacks and sandals on his feet.

Oh and tied around his waist is a tanned gourd, being what his stave turned into when he became dorm leader. It's a reference to the gourd Anansi(myth) had which stored all the wisdom and stories in the world.

Personality:

Anansi to be blunt, is a little shit. He's a very playful and mischievous boy who often manipulates and weaves things to best suit what he needs to be done. This is mostly seem with how he handles getting the other dorms and students to both stop stepping on each other's toes and in giving each student who needs it therapy.

Instead of being honest and cooperative, using his analytical mind and a few other ways of finding information. Anansi often tricks and fools others into improving who they are. Even in his own dorm, it's never wise to fully trust the spider, because he always has some joke or trick to play. No matter if you're friend or foe.

Anansi is a very greedy person, often stealing, tricking, betting and playing for something he doesn't have. Even being the school therapist to assist Chiron was something anansi did was for a deal. He didn't do it out of kindness, but rather so he could receive a reward.

He's a person with a silver tongue amd a poisonous bite. Always weaving a web around those in front of him. And honestly despite his intelligence and skills in trickery, he often gets in his own way, getting too greedy for his own good, leaving him either beat up or in the same position he started in.

But while he is such a little shit, while he doesn't show it often, he can be caring and helpful to those who he views as being on equal or if possible beneath him in standing. He's always had a soft spot for people down on their luck. And often helps them as best he can. And especially for the slums he and Ruggie live in, you'll see the best side of anansi, he cares greatly for those there and really is an activist to get them better support. Even making many songs based on it. Though if he were to meet or see anyone from the Royal family, you are instantly marked for mischief.

This is a less noticeable part of Anansi but the boy is a giant creative nerd. He loves imagining stories sings and all sorts of other things in his mind while also making art. Despite his harsher parts he's a geek to be honest.

In summary: playful, intelligent, mischievous and at times protective and caring.

In Anansi's room, swaddled in a giant web in the corner of his room is a giant pile of all the "earned" items he's acquired over the school year. Often times you can see him swimming through it when he's bored

Anansi can produce natural spider silk and often uses it to get around, play tricks, and if he feels like it, weave actual stuff. He's probably made a subtle business about weaving clothes for people. Like need a bootleg expensive thing? Call Nancy

His fangs aren't just for show, they actually have venom in them. Though it's more just to numb and relax muscles.

Anansi is a giant nerd, if you can show him a story or piece of knowledge he hasn't read or heard of before, you can do that as an alternative to madool.

Anansi is actually really good friends with Ruggie, he loves collaborating with the hyena for pranks whenever possible. They grew up together and learned how to steal and trick people together

Continuing with this, Anansi has a deal with Ruggie where during holidays both bring back stuff for the slums. Ruggie brings back food, Anansi brings back the loot he's gained

Anansi loves playing drums, and is actually a really good performer and dancer, often times during winter holiday him and his family performed for the slums. Giving everyone some good entertainment and a rest from their worries. Anansi also often times drags ruggie to sing with them though he knows how well ruggie can sing and will tease him about it

He's like Spider-Man, often times you will see Anansi climbing on walls, ceilings etc.

Yes, he can see through each of his eyes, all 8 of them.

The spiders around campus are his little informants. Often giving him new information about students or activities coming up. To keep their support, he gives them flies bugs or whatever they feel like having for their service.

He often sneaks into NRC, both to mess with Leona and to study Yuu on any pointers on how to be a better prefect/therapist for all these students

A nickname for him is Nancy

If you want to see him blush, compliment him on his stories, it'll break his mask quicker than anything else. It always shocks him when someone actually likes them

If you dare him to move like a spider, don't. Just don't, you'll regret it. No one should be that flexible

Halloween Preparations

Well, it’s time for the Halloween special. Crowley decides to pair the dorms together and put each group in charge of planning for one part of the holiday.

Trey attempted to calm Idia with a pat on the shoulder as Riddle went on another tirade. The Ignihyde dorm leader was shaking, not used to interacting with someone as aggressive as Riddle (or anyone, for that matter).

“I don’t see why the pumpkins should be orange,” Riddle insisted. “They look far nicer in red!”

“Well, then we’ll give everyone the option of painting their pumpkins after they carve them!” Cater said cheerfully, trying to calm Riddle’s temper. “And if you prefer them in red, you can paint yours red...”

Event planning would have been so much easier if Crowley had just let Idia do it by himself.

“Mister Riddle!” Ortho called, “I finished setting up the projector for the movies!”

“Perfect,” Riddle said with a smile. “At least someone in this group is competent. And did you get all the movies from my list?”

“Yep! Everything’s ready for scary movie night!”

Cater sighed in relief. At least the first year seemed to be able to calm their dorm leader.

“Wait, where is Ace?” Deuce asked before Cater slapped a hand over his mouth.

“Do NOT set Riddle off again!” Cater whispered. “Ace probably couldn’t take it and decided to escape, and we should be happy for him, not have Riddle send out a hunting party!”

Deuce nodded, a bit jealous that his rival was able to escape.

“He’s been going off about the color of the pumpkins all day,” Ace sighed, hanging up rubber spiders.

“What kind of pumpkin isn’t orange?” Floyd grumbled. “I swear, if I show up for pumpkin carving and they’re red, I’m starting my own pumpkin carving booth!”

“Riddle’s head would explode!” Ace commented, laughing at the mental image of Riddle’s reaction.

“Speaking of Riddle,” Jamil spoke up, addressing the twins, “Where’s your dorm leader? He said he’d be here an hour ago.”

“Eh,” Jade replied, “He said something about decorating the whole campus to be ‘drudgery.’ So he stayed back at the cafe. Where’s your dorm leader?”

“He’s...” Jamil froze. “Ace! Did you see Kalim leave?”

“Uh, yeah. He headed back to Scarabia to pick up a few things.”

“Dammit,” Jamil groaned. “He’s going to get lost. I’m going to go find him... And you two,” he added, glaring at the twins, “Go get Azul and bring him back here, or I’ll drag him here myself.”

“Psh. Why should we do anything you tell us to do?” Floyd chuckled.

Jamil paused... and smiled. “Why don’t skeletons ever go trick-or-treating?”

Both of the twins froze in horror... 

“Right on it, Mr. Viper!” Jade answered, scrambling for the door.

“Yeah, Azul will be here when you get back!” Floyd added, sprinting down the hall with his brother.

“I could get used to that,” Jamil smirked. “Ace, I’ll be back with Kalim as soon as I can.”

“I still don’t know why Crowley put us in charge of food and drink,” Leona groaned. “I can’t cook, and I’m willing to bet you sure as hell can’t either.”

“He put us in charge of food,” Vil sighed, “Because I’m an amazing chef, and because he had nowhere else to put you Savanaclaw heathens.”

“I’m just wondering why he didn’t put Octavinelle on catering duty.”

Vil shuddered as he remembered last year’s Halloween. “Because last year they enchanted the food to convince people to sign more contracts.”

“Never would have suspected it,” Rook sighed, interrupting. “But anyway, was it two or three cups of sugar, Vil?”

“Two.”

“Put in three,” Leona commented.

“You’re a cat! You can’t even taste sweet things!”

“Excuse you, I’m more human than lion!”

Rook sighed as their bickering continued, and turned his attention to Jack, who was quietly making popcorn balls away from the commotion.

“Where’s Zahir?”

“Not here. Shouldn’t you be more worried about your missing dorm member? Epel?”

“He’s not missing! He’s off with that Ruggie boy,” Rook huffed. “And our dorm leaders are already giving me a headache without bringing up those two.”

The door opened, and Zahir stepped into the kitchen, locking eyes with Rook.

The blond lion turned to leave, before Rook grabbed his arm and dipped him so low that his hair brushed the floor. “My dearest Zahir! How I have missed your company~!”

Zahir looked up at Jack from his rather embarrassing position. “Please kill me.”

Jack went back to his cooking, ignoring Zahir’s request.

Rook pressed a bit of red velvet cake to Zahir’s lips. “I pilfered a little cake for you! I heard you like red velvet~!”

He glared at Rook. “If I eat it, will you let me go?”

Rook only smiled that infuriating smile.

“Rook, leave the mongrel alone!” Vil called from the other side of the kitchen.

Sighing, Rook pulled Zahir back up to standing, putting the cake in his hand. “Oh, why must he ruin our time together~?”

Vil rolled his eyes, turning back to the cupcakes he’d pulled out of the oven just five minutes ago.

Three were missing. Two of them were in Leona’s hands, and he last was being scarfed down by the Savanaclaw dorm leader.

“I’m a bad chef, am I?”

The Diasomnia dorm arrived at Mortercitus, which was already being decorated as the haunted house.

Arawn greeted them without enthusiasm, not looking up from his clipboard.

“Where’s your gross dorm leader?” Lilia asked.

Arawn groaned, rubbing his temples. “Whatever you do, don’t bother him, Vanrouge. I’ve had enough anxiety today as is.”

“You’re no fun.” Lilia rolled his eyes, pulled out a bag of candy, and went to watch everyone from the corner. 

“Where is Deidrick?” Malleus inquired.

“He’s in his library,” Arawn sighed. “I wouldn’t go up there by myself though. He’s not expecting you to arrive for another hour.”

Malleus sighed. “Well, someone needs to go get him.”

“I’ll go!” Sebek volunteered.

“No, I can do it. Besides, I have the best chance of coming back unharmed.”

Malleus entered the huge castle, taking in the atmosphere. The Mortercitus common room was at least three times as large as Diasomnia’s... It was beautiful, but it felt rather lonely.

Everything was ornate and well-designed. The furniture was expensive yet obviously comfortable, the floor was black marble, and chandeliers hung from what must have been at least a thirty foot high ceiling.

Though, disturbingly, there were skeletons standing on the sides of the room, wearing suits of black armor and holding real weapons.

Knowing Deidrick’s taste in decor, Malleus guessed they were real.

And that’s when something crashed into his back, sending him crashing to the floor.

Whatever had hit him screeched and scrambled across the room.

“Draconia, are you hurt?”

Malleus looked up at a disheveled-looking Deidrick Morkond. “I’m fine. What was that?”

Deidrick cleared his throat. “Well... As long as you don’t tell the headmaster...”

Malleus sighed, holding out a hand for Deidrick to help him off the floor. The other dorm leader took him by the arm, pulling up up off the black marble.

“Alright, I won’t tell Crowley.”

“Thank you... It’s an imp.”

“You summoned a demon?” Malleus asked, eyes widening. “Is this some kind of Halloween trick?”

“No, no...” Deidrick mumbled. “I only meant to study it. You know I’m always looking for new information to add to my library.”

“Should I help...?”

“No, I have security measures for this sort of thing,” Deidrick said, then snapped his fingers. 

At his order, the skeletons around the room animated, following the path of the imp. Deidrick smirked as Malleus’s eyes widened, proud of his skill in necromancy. 

“I trust you won’t share that information with Crowley? Or worse yet, Vanrouge?”

Malleus cleared his throat, opening the door to leave. “Let’s just... Get to the haunted house.”

I have some bad news. So my family has this “family sharing” app thingy and I bought procreate with that, so all my artworks are there. My dad recently canceled the family sharing for some bug or something and now I have to redownload (AKA buy it again) and I’m scared that all my works will disappear 🥹 it’s downloading right now and im so scared that my spider-suit ruggie art will be gone because i just finished it😭 i also have other project that i want to share with everyone too
